KOKE'E ADU

Accessory Dwelling Unit Demonstration to be built in 2024

Our approach intersects vernacular architecture with material innovation to formulate a system that utilizes locally sourced materials and vernacular design. We sourced timber from state forest management lands where thinning is essential to the health and of the ecosystem. The process is achieved by gathering appropriate materials of the place and innovating uses for building in response to the needs of our community. We hope to inspire the building industry with our “forest to frame” construction methods.
